Varicose vein procedures

Bulging, painful varicose veins aren’t the only sign of a vein problem. Many patients experience symptoms

What Happens During a Vein Evaluation?

Your vein evaluation begins with a detailed discussion of your symptoms, including leg pain, cramping, swelling, heaviness, or visible varicose veins.

During your visit, we will:

  • Review your medical history and symptoms

  • Perform a physical examination of your legs

  • Conduct an in-office ultrasound to evaluate the veins beneath the surface

Many patients are surprised to learn that vein problems can exist even without visible bulging veins. The ultrasound allows us to determine whether underlying vein disease is causing your discomfort.

If vein dysfunction is identified, we first educate you on conservative treatment options and lifestyle adjustments that may help relieve symptoms.

What Symptoms Can Vein Procedures Address?

Varicose vein treatments such as Venaseal™ and Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) are designed to treat more than just cosmetic concerns.

These procedures may help relieve:

  • Bulging, painful varicose veins

  • Chronic leg cramps

  • Leg swelling

  • Restless legs

  • Leg heaviness or fatigue

  • Aching or throbbing leg pain

If conservative treatment does not improve your symptoms, minimally invasive vein procedures can safely close malfunctioning veins and redirect blood flow to healthier veins.

These treatments are performed in-office and typically require little downtime, allowing you to return to normal activities quickly.

What Are Venaseal™ and Radiofrequency Ablation?

Venaseal™ and Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) are minimally invasive procedures designed to treat faulty veins that cause pain, swelling, and visible varicose veins.

Venaseal™

Venaseal uses a medical adhesive to safely close the affected vein. Once sealed, blood naturally reroutes to healthy veins, improving circulation and relieving symptoms. This procedure requires no heat and typically no compression stockings afterward.

Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)

RFA uses gentle heat delivered through a small catheter to close the damaged vein. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and allows for a quick recovery with minimal discomfort.

Both treatments:

  • Are performed in-office

  • Require little downtime

  • Provide long-term relief from symptoms

  • Improve overall leg comfort and appearance

Our goal is to restore healthy circulation and help you return to daily activities without the discomfort caused by vein disease.
